The current tender is addressing issues at the VIA Alexandria Station. Built in 1919, it is a single-storey building with a basement, listed as a Heritage station and only minor renovations have been performed in its lifetime. Work entails the replacement of damaged masonry units, repointing the damaged morta joints, reinforcement of the concrete foundation, localized concrete improvements in the basement and building re-roofing, including the fascias and eavesthroughing. The work must be substantially completed by September 30th, 2023. General Contractor must have a minimum of 10 years' experience as well as a minimum of 5 years experience in Heritage properties. Subcontractors must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in their related expertise of work.
