Renovation of an educational facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The awarded contractor will reseal with approved sealant per Section 08800-Glazing. Installer will replace horizontal sheet metal flashing and trim on east/west side of curtain walls and connection into brick per 076200 Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim. Installer shall demo two existing entry door pairs. Replace with new aluminum doors with full glass and side lights per 084113 Aluminum-Framed Entrances and Storefronts. Installer shall use concealed overhead closers, and one automatic operator for east side entry per 087100 Door Hardware. The University of Louisville Procurement Services, on behalf of the Physical Plant Department (PPD), will receive bids from a qualified general contractor for the Abell Building Re-Glazing and Store Front Installation, located on the University of Louisville Health Science Campus (HSC). The scope of work is to include remove existing sealant/ caulking on two curtain walls on east and west side of building entry ways. Work includes providing and installation of two new store fronts described herein. The Contractor shall provide as-built drawings and owner's manuals, any copies of inspections, and permits or occupancy certificates prior to release of retainage. Provide one (1) year parts, equipment, & labor warranty (required). Warranty shall not start until all systems have been inspected, tested, and verified, and all related systems are functioning and interacting with other systems correctly.
