Site work and paving for a road / highway in San Mateo, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The objective of the project is to construct a six mile long segment of the Ridge Trail and an ADA loop trail in San Mateo County on SFPUC watershed land. The work is to be performed in San Mateo, California. Funding for this project may be provided in full or in part through an agreement with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) though California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) subject to the new Race Conscious DBE Program and local funds from the City and County of San Francisco. This Contract is subject to the latest Federal contract provisions as specified on the latest Form FHWA-1273 and required Federal forms associated with this contract. Bidders are advised that this is a federal-aid project subject to equal employment opportunity provisions and Caltrans Race-Conscious Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program. San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B LBE Subcontracting Participation requirements and Bid Discounts are not applicable to this Contract. The 23% DBE Goal was established by CMD/SFPUC and Approved by Caltrans In addition, the SFPUC seeks to promote diversity within its contracting opportunities. Thus, the SFPUC strongly encourages bids from Bidders that optimize the use of S.F. Small and Micro-LBE certified subcontracting firms. The SFPUC also seeks to further optimize the use of contractor teams that reflect the diversity of the City and County of San Francisco. As such, the City recommends that Bidders consider the composition of their teams in terms of gender, age, ethnicity, and race, and to utilize teams that include a diverse mix of staff at all organizational levels. ESTIMATED COST between $14,000,000 and $16,000,000 SFPUC encourages Bidders to complete the Safety Prequalification Web Form 3-weeks prior to the date of Bid opening in accordance with Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are required to pass the Safety Prequalification prior to SFPUC considering their bid submission complete. SFPUC will notify Bidders that have passed the Safety Prequalification prior to or on the date of Bid opening. Refer to Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders, Bidder Qualifications A Class A California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
