Site work for a water / sewer project in Carbondale, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of September 28, 2023, project was awarded to American Shoreline, Inc., awarded amount is $1,221,855.75. Stabilize 14,000 linear ft. of Cedar Lake shoreline; stabilize 20,000 linear ft. of gully and construct sediment control basins on 200 acres within the watershed. Identified impairments to Cedar Lake will be addressed by reducing phosphorous, nitrogen, and sediment loading. The proposal will address shoreline erosion and turbid water with a reduction in these impairments, as well. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wage of Employee on Public Works Act (820ILCS 130/1-12). The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder complying with the provisions of this Invitation for Bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the City.
