The Port of Long Beach (POLB) is issuing this RFP to seek the services of qualified Engineering Consultants (Consultant). The work to be performed consists of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for the construction and installation of two (2) shore power outlets at Pier F berths F205 and F207. Additional scope of work includes studying of the existing and future infrastructure to achieve the zero emission goals of the project, site assessment, above ground and underground utility investigation, environmental site support for CEQA, environmental analysis and investigations, bid package preparation, bid support services, and commissioning support. Type of Award: Lump Sum POLB Responds to Questions/Issue Addendum: July 17, 2023 Begin Proposal Review July 31, 2023 Short-list Firms August 7, 2023 Firm Interviews August 8 - August 14, 2023 Finalize Selection August 18, 2023 Begin Contract Negotiations August 19, 2023 This solicitation is subject to POLB Small Business Enterprises (SBE)/Very Small Business Enterprises (VSBE) Program. The combined SBE/VSBE participation goal established for this project is twenty-seven percent (27%), of which a minimum of five percent (5%) must be allocated to VSBEs. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
