Renovation of an educational facility in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of, but is not limited to, the installation of four Class 1 fire system standpipes to serve the building, a new fire hydrant, and a new fire department connection on the east side of the building. The northwest standpipe will have tamper switch valves for a future sprinkler system. Questions regarding the scope of work should be directed to the Design Professional. Substantial Completion: May 31, 2024 Final Completion: July 30, 2024 Bid Estimate: $434,800.00 Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the Work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date of opening. Each bid shall be submitted using the electronic bidding documents provided at www.bidexpress.com and shall include bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders.
