Guy-Favreau Complex, located at 200 René-Lévesque Boulevard West in downtown Montreal, occupies a quadrangle bounded by René-Lévesque, Saint-Urbain, de la Gauchetière and Jeanne-Mance streets. Multiple ventilation ducts with fire shutters (VCF) are present in several places in the 2 office towers as well as in the basilaire of the building. Many of the VCFs are inaccessible and require various types of patches to allow free access for maintenance work and inspections. Relocation, addition and removal of access hatches and fire dampers. Modifications to ventilation ducts. Relocation of electrical conduits, lighting fixtures and sprinkler ducts. Fabrication and installation of walkways with fixed ladders or stairs. Modifications to gypsum boarding, patching and painting. Order of magnitude of the number of VCFs requiring an intervention: 320.
