Asbestos abatement and renovation of a municipal facility in Danvers, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, and equipment necessary for the complete and satisfactory control and decontamination of asbestos while electric line workers remove and/or install cable in asbestos conduit. The Contractor is responsible for containment installation at manholes and padmount equipment during cable work. The Contractor will work inside the containment area with full PPE utilizing wet methods for wiping cable clean while cable is removed and/or installed. The Contractor is also responsible for cleaning up any debris inside the manhole. The Contractor will stand-by while an Industrial Hygienist performs final visual inspections and final air clearance/air testing and will be prepared to relocate to the next manhole or padmount equipment when complete. The Contractor is responsible for Massachusetts DEP 10-day notifications Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, and equipment necessary for the complete and satisfactory control and decontamination of asbestos while electric line workers remove and/or install cable in asbestos conduit.
