The contractor will furnish licensed plumbers to complete plumbing service requests and complete preventative maintenance tasks on campus. BID SECURITY in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check as prescribed by LA R.S. 38:2218 sum of five (5%) percent of the total amount of this bid. The undersigned agrees that the Owner may retain the sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars($250.00) from the amount of the Compensation to be paid him for each day after the above stated completion date, Sundays and Holidays included, that the work remains incomplete. This amount is agreed upon as the proper measure of Liquidated Damages which the Owner will sustain per day by the failure of the undersigned to complete the work at the stipulated time and is not to be construed in any sense as a penalty. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required on Public Works projects with an expected cost greater than $50,000. Performance and Payment Bonds, when required,shall be provided in an amount of 50% of the contract price. Performance and Payments Bonds shall be required by the successful bidder.
