The Lawrence Township Municipal Authority (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Tremaine Pump Station Replacement Contract #1 - General Construction Generally consists of removal of the existing pump station infrastructure and associated controls, bypass pumping, modifications to the existing 2" sanitary force main, upstream gravity sewer improvements, and installation of new pump station structures and equipment. Contract #2 - Electrical Construction Generally consists of installation of new pump station control equipment, furnishing materials and connections related to the commissioning of new pump station control panel and associated equipment, modifications to the site electric service, and coordination with utility company. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. A Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated contract price, shall be required from the Successful Bidder. The Supplementary Conditions set forth requirements for the payment by the Contractor and all Subcontractors of minimum wage rates for all classes of laborers and mechanics as set forth by all applicable provisions of the PA Prevailing Wage Act, and the Bid shall be prepared accordingly. The Lawrence Township Municipal Authority reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the total of all lump sum items. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid within sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof. The probable cost for this project is $150,000.00. Awarded to: Contract #1, General Construction, has been awarded to M.R. Dirt, Inc. for a lump sum of $187,000.00. Contract #2, Electrical Construction, has been awarded to 11B Electric II, LLC for a lump sum of $5,800.00.
