A bid bond in the amount of 5% DFCM Construction-Pre Qualified Mechanical-DFCM Calvin Rampton Building Chiller/Heat Exchanger SLCC is seeking to bring the current 1985 Business Building into the 21st century through remodel of the current 1985 Business Building along with the design and addition of approximately 35,000 sq ft of new space to better meet the instructional needs of a much different population than the one that existed when the building was built. Current and future program offerings include Computer Science, E-Sports, FinTech, Entrepreneurship, Sales and Student Kick starter spaces. The Division of Facilities Construction and Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State. Construction Cost Estimate: $1,343,151.00 This work shall include the removal and replacement of existing 200 ton chillers. The removal of a dedicated data room 50 ton chiller. The addition of a 200 ton heat exchanger and the removal and replacement of mechanical room chilled and condenser water piping. New chilled water pumps will be provided with new VFD's. Replacement of mechanical room exhaust fans and associated refrigerant detection system. This project will incorporate BAS monitoring and control through I/O, BACNET, and the existing honeywell LON network. If work is not completed by march 15th 2024 contractor must provide temporary chilled water. The building must maintain set point during construction.
