This project involves the construction of approximately 1.9 miles of Class I Bikeway (bike path) complete with welded wire-mesh fencing, lighting and landscaping. This design project is part of a planned 8.8-mile long bike path which will run parallel to the Santa Clarita Rail Line within the MTA right-of-way from Roxford Street in Sylmar to Cohasset Street at the Burbank City limit. As of December 31, 2025, the San Fernando Road Bike Path has been fully completed and is now open.
