CITY/GRU, through this Request for Statement of Qualification (RFSQ), is seeking the services of architectural, engineering and consulting firms to provide professional services related to planning, designing, constructing, operating and managing any of the many projects contained in the Redevelopment Plans/Capital Improvement Plans or for any unforeseen projects of same or similar nature
Pursuant to the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, the City of Gainesville (CITY) and Gainesville Regional Utilities (CITY/GRU), request submission of a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified professional engineering, architectural and consulting firms to provide professional services associated with, but not limited to the following: architecture, landscape architecture, commissioning, historic preservation/rehabilitation, civil, environmental, construction administration, surveying, assessments and studies, design (including LEED), permitting, implementation and structural, mechanical, systems and electrical engineering, power generation, power delivery, water/wastewater systems, gas distribution, telecommunications, and conservation.
Gainesville is the largest city (approximately 62.9 square miles) and county seat of Alachua County. It serves as the cultural, educational and commercial center for the north central Florida region. The city provides a full range of municipal services, including police and fire protection; comprehensive land use planning and zoning services; code enforcement and neighborhood improvement; streets and drainage construction and maintenance; traffic engineering services; refuse and recycling services through a franchised operator; recreation and parks; cultural and nature services; and necessary administrative services to support these activities
