The City of Sarasota is soliciting construction services for the improvement and rehabilitation of the Lift Station 30 facility, located in the median of S. Blvd of the Presidents and Monroe Drive on St. Armands Key. The project generally includes construction of new hardened generator enclosure; installation of owner supplied equipment including: Pumps, Control Panel, Pump Panel, Automatic Transfer Switch, Trailer Mounted Generator; construction of new above ground valve assembly; relocation of potable water main; wetwell rehabilitation; and miscellaneous site improvements. Work in this Section includes all labor, material, equipment, testing, tax, overhead, and profit necessary to install, construct, and place into service the items described in this Section to provide a complete and functional system ready for use by the City. B. The Contractor shall obtain Substantial Completion within 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with the Final Completion of all Work within the Contract Time of 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. This shall include all work, except warranty items, in accordance with the Contract Documents. C. The Contractor shall commence Work under this Contract on or before 5 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. D. The Contractor shall pay liquidated damages of $1,690.00 for each consecutive calendar day completion of the Work is delayed beyond substantial completion. E. The Work generally includes the rehabilitation of Lift Station 30 with a new hardened generator and controls structure, new above-ground forcemain valve assembly, replacement of pumps, base elbows, guiderails, and riser pipes, wetwell coatings, new forcemain pipe from the valve assembly to the bypass vault, relocation of 8-inch watermain, electrical and instrumentation systems. Work items include, but are not limited to providing all labor, materials, equipment to perform and complete the following: 1. Maintenance of wastewater flow and bypass pumping during construction. 2. Erosion and sediment control. 3. Maintenance of traffic. 4. Surveying for construction staking and layout. 5. Demolition and removal from the site of portions of roadway, existing structures, landscaping, and pipelines. 6. Coordination with other agencies, utility providers, and the public. 7. Installation of new sewer forcemain pipe, valves, and appurtenances. 8. Relocation of potable watermain. 9. Construction of the new hardened generator and controls structure. 10. Wetwell coatings.
