Roof replacement at Ridgewater College maintenance building. Summary of Work - The work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Remove existing materials down to the deck. Manually back existing fasteners out of the deck. 2. Remove obsolete heat stack and provide steel deck infill at the opening as shown on the Drawings. 3. Replace existing roof-related wood blocking slated for reuse if it contains more than 19 percent moisture, shows evidence of rotting, or is otherwise in a condition that provides an unsuitable substrate to receive new materials. a. Include 1,000 board feet of wood blocking replacement in the Base Bid. 4. Remove existing heat stack roof penetration, provide deck infill, and reroute the heat stack through the newly created opening in the wall. 5. Mechanically fasten 5/8" thermal barrier to the steel deck, followed by one ply of selfadhering vapor retarder. 6. Install a total of 6" of isocyanurate insulation and a top layer of 1/2" cover board. Back slope tapered isocyanurate insulation in area indicated on the Roof Plan. All insulation layers are to be set in low rise foam adhesive. 7. Install a 90-mil fully adhered EPDM membrane and elastomeric flashings. 8. Install color-coated galvanized steel flashings at the details as indicated on the Drawings. 9. Install new primary scuppers and downspouts. 10. Install spray foam insulation and firestopping materials below the deck as shown on the Drawings.
