Description

Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Santa Cruz, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The purpose of the Neary Lagoon Tule and Sediment Removal Project is to conduct marsh vegetation removal (primarily tules) and sediment dredging in Neary Lagoon (see attached Location Map) to reduce sedimentation and increase lagoon depths in order to: 1) improve water circulation and flow rates; 2) improve water quality; 3) reduce the proliferation of vegetative growth (primarily tule); and 4) improve habitat. In addition, vegetation management helps to maintain an equal ratio of fresh water marsh to open water area as specified in the NLMP. The Project shall be completed before October 1, 2023. All time limits stated herein are of the essence.
