Streetlights and Electrical This Contract provides for the construction of the following: Furnish and install over sixty (60) Street Lights and over one hundred and eighty (180) Pedestrian Lights as well related appurtenances. Bidders must be licensed Contractors in the State of Colorado. Bids will be received providing unit price for items; however, the price given will be on a maximum not-to-exceed amount, as described in the Bidding Documents. The Work is expected to be commenced within thirty (30) days after the Date of Contract. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid Price must accompany each Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and warranty bond for two-years after Substantial Completion, and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to award the contract by sections, to reject any or all Bids, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein. WORK INCLUDED A. This Contract provides for the construction of the following: 1. Summary of Work. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, appurtenances, tools, and labor for performing all operations necessary to construct the streetlights improvements. All work shall be done in accordance with the Standard Technical Specifications of the City of Aurora Standards and Specifications for Water. Sanitary Sewer, and Storm Drainage Infrastructure - latest edition, the City of Aurora Roadway Design and Construction Specifications - latest edition, the Special Provisions of this Contract, and as shown on the Construction Drawings and Specifications prepared by Westwood., consulting engineers. 2. Work includes cooperating with the Authority and other contractors engaged by the Authority for performance of associated work. 3. Refer to the SPECIAL PROVISIONS for additional notes regarding scope of work. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda. Questions received less than six (6) days prior to the date for opening of the Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
