The County of Shasta, through its Department of Support Services, Purchasing Unit, invites responses to a Request for Quotes (RFQ) from qualified vendors to furnish and install, on an on call and as-needed basis, AMAG, DSX, or equivalent electronically controlled door access systems. In addition, this may include the following: computer systems, supporting software, field devices, cameras, and other associated door hardware and equipment related to the respective systems. The scope of work, materials type, and the project price shall be agreed to in writing between the Contractor and Facilities Management. A purchase order number shall be issued prior to the commencement of each project and shall be considered a notice to proceed ("Notice to Proceed") with the work. Individual projects and installations shall be negotiated between the Contractor and representatives of the Facilities Management Division of the County's Department of Public Works ("Facilities Management"). Provide and install on an on call and as-needed basis: paging systems, camera systems, digital video systems, communication systems, electronically activated key card access systems and associated hardware. Program, test, and commission equipment associated with their system. Labor and Materials include but are not limited to: cabling, speakers, volume controls, hardware, projector systems, screens, sound systems and voice systems. Make any and all necessary repairs to systems and equipment. No single project may exceed a total cost of $60,000; or be split into multiple parts in an attempt to bring each part under $60,000. Labor, materials and any overhead must all be included in when determining if a project will be under $60,000. Performance bond will be required for all projects totaling $4,000.00 or more. The Contractor shall possess all applicable licenses, certifications, and insurance, to perform all the work described in the scope of work. The Contractor shall have a current and active California Contractor's License with the following classification: C-7: Low Voltage The Contractor shall provide any additional classifications that are current and active under their California Contractor's License in the Vendor Questionnaire section.
