If a potential bidder received this solicitation document through some means other than from the City of Redding (including from the City of Redding Internet web site), it is the responsibility of the potential bidder to advise the assigned City of Redding Purchasing contact of its intention to submit a bid so that any addenda or other correspondence related to this solicitation will be sent to the potential bidder. When contacting the Purchasing Division, the bidder shall provide the solicitation number located on the cover page of this document. Transmittal of this information must be in writing, by U.S. Mail, fax, or e-mail. Transmittal of this information via telephone is not acceptable. Purchasing Request for Bids, Purchasing Request for Quotations, Purchasing Request for Proposals. The work to be performed consists of general plumbing repair and/or modifications, and shall include but not be limited to: repairs and/or replacement of plumbing fixtures; repair or replacement of water, gas, air and sewer piping, including underground piping; repair or replacement of septic systems, including seepage pits; and repair of valves, piping, etc. in confined areas. Work shall be performed only when directed by the Facilities Maintenance Division. The service hours noted in the bid document for plumbing services are an estimate only and are based on historical information. The City may require more or less service hours than noted and shall not be penalized for requiring more or less. Service work may need to be performed after hours and/or on weekends.
