Renovation of an educational facility in Ohatchee, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Scope of Work: The Project includes re-roof of the classroom and administration building and associated mechanical and electrical system upgrades, new edge metal, coping, gutters and downspouts. The project also includes the addition of tapered roof insulation, new skylights, new equipment curbs to maintain 8" clearance above roof and new mechanical units. The General Contractor shall provide a fully qualified superintendent that is a full time employee of the General Contractor on site at ALL times when Work on site is occurring. The General Contractor will be responsible for repairing or replacing any floor or finish damage resulting from the Work in this project at his expense. The Alabama Division of Construction Management and the Owner will NOT accept ANY ponding conditions on the new roof. The new roof must have 100% positive drainage. A cashier's check or Bid Bond payable to Calhoun County Board of Education, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the proposal, but in no event more than $10,000 must accompany the bid. Performance and Statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price will be required at the signing of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all the proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interest of the owner will thereby be promoted.
