The City of Fitchburg will receive bids for 2023 Street and Park Improvements This project consists of approximately 16,000 tons of HMA Pavement, 75,000 SY of pulverizing pavement, 1500 LF of Concrete Curb and Gutter Remove and Replace, 4,000 LF of pavement marking, 400 SY of landscape restoration, as well as other miscellaneous items of work. Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the bid, payable to the Fitchburg Treasurer, as a guarantee that the bidder, if the bid is accepted, will execute and file Contract and Bond within 15 days of award. Performance and Payment Bonds each 100% of the bid, with executed Contract is required of successful bidder. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. 6.02 Addenda may be issued to clarify, correct, or change the Bidding Documents as deemed advisable by Owner or Engineer.
