This Project Shall Consist of Furnishing Labor, Materials, Tools, Equipment, Utility and Transportation Services, Insurance and Everything Necessary for the Installation of: Est. Qty Item 6,340 Lf 6 Ft Wide Asphalt Pathway 1,260 Lf 8 Ft Wide Asphalt Pathway 160 Lf 12" Rcp Storm Sewer Excavation and Grading Erosion Control and Restoration Other Miscellaneous Work Includes Tree Removal and Clearing and Concrete Handicap Ramps. City of Brookfield at least five (5) days before the bid opening date. If a qualification has been submitted to the City in 2023, you do not need to provide again. The proposal form furnished by the City shall be properly executed by the bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the City of Brookfield equal to five percent (5%) of the largest possible total bid or bids, including consideration of alternates. The successful bidder's failure to execute the contract and furnish the performance bond within ten (10) days after the award shall cause the Check or Bid Bond to be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages (Section 62.15(3), Wisconsin Statutes). All proposals shall remain firm and may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening date. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any minor informality or irregularity in bids received. GENERAL INFORMATION The work is known as Pathway Maintenance Replacement Project Nos. BP-23-02, PK-23-04 and PK-23-06 and shall consist of the following major items of work and estimated quantities in accordance with the Plans in Section 10.00 of this Bid Book and the requirements of the Standard Specifications for Sewer and Water Construction in Wisconsin, the Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction and the City of Brookfield Detail Specifications. The project consists of installation of approximately 6,340 lineal feet of 6 feet wide asphalt pathway, 1,260 lineal feet of 8 feet wide asphalt pathway, 160 linear feet of 12" RCP storm sewer, excavation and grading, erosion control and restoration, and other miscellaneous work including tree removal and clearing and concrete handicap ramps. The project area is within the City of Brookfield. INTERPRETATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS Should any question arise concerning the true meaning of the contract documents, the bidder may submit to the ENGINEER and/or Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, a written request for an interpretation thereof and so provided will be made in the form of an addendum, and either mailed or delivered to all bidders who may later receive contract documents. Any addenda issued during the time of bidding shall be included with the proposal and will become a part of the final contract. No oral statements shall be deemed changes in the contract documents.
