Installation of a new restroom in TDA's main building 1. Add an additional restroom inside the TDA office in the main building (see Attachment 2, Restroom Drawings), as described in greater detail below. a. Connect restroom to air conditioning, electrical power, and existing water and plumbing. b. Construct ceiling, walls, and install door. i. Restroom walls must be 8'H x 5'W x 10'L, including the door. The door must be able to be locked from the inside and must be ADAA compliant width. Hardware must match existing hardware on TDA offices and bathroom. ii. Ceiling, flooring, and walls must be constructed with hardware, paints, and materials that match existing hardware, paints, and materials in the main office bathroom and offices or a TDA-approved equivalent. c. Install a light switch, light, and vent. i. The light and vent must be the Broan-NuTone 80 CFM Ceiling Bathroom Exhaust Fan with Light or TDA-approved equivalent. d. Install 1 toilet and 1 sink with a vanity. i. 1 toilet must be installed and must be connected to the existing water and plumbing source. Toilet's dimensions must be 17.5"W x 33.5"H x 29.1"D with 12" rough-in. The toilet chair height must be 16.5" and must have an elongated bowl shape. ii. 1 sink with a vanity must be installed in the restroom and must be connected to the existing water and plumbing source. A vanity mirror must be installed 6" above the sink. Vanity mirror must be the Glacier Bay, Shaila 24"x31" Single Framed Vanity Mirror in white color or a TDA-approved equivalent. e. Install 2 grab bars. f. 2 grab bars must be installed with TDA-approved equivalent specifications to 24"x 1 1/4 " Concealed Screw ADA compliant Grab Bar in Brushed Stainless Steel. g. Install 1 wall-mounted paper towel dispenser. h. Install 1 toilet paper roll holder. i. 1 toilet paper holder must be installed with TDA-approved equivalence to a Wall Mounted Single Arm Toilet Paper Holder in Stainless Steel Silver. TDA requires Contractor to respond to any warranty call concerning this project within a 48-hour time period. For any warranty call issued, Contractor will have seven (7) calendar days to replace defective products after receipt of notification by TDA that a warranty issue exists. The primary purpose of the project is to add a restroom for use by the Laredo Livestock Export Facility staff and Texas Cooperative Inspection Program staff.
