Call for Qualifications (1st stage) Service de la gestion des sites miniers abandonnés (SGSMA) is responsible for the restoration of mine sites that are under the responsibility of the Crown. The SGSMA must, in particular, ensure that the infrastructure present on these mine sites does not pose a risk to the safety of the population and the environment. The SGSMA requires the services of a contractor to carry out stabilization work on former logging sites and the demolition of concrete remains at the former Preissac-Molybdenite mine site. The site includes a tailings accumulation area, a waste rock pile and a burning site (burning area). It also has an area with former underground sites, some of which are considered potentially unstable and which must be secured during this mandate. The chosen method of filling is to drill boreholes (or stacks) to discharge a granular backfill consisting of crushed mine waste rock from the waste rock pile, additives and water, as well as granular material from a borrow bench as required. The contractor wishing to submit a tender must demonstrate that he has experience in the dismantling or rehabilitation of industrial or mining sites as well as in underground infill work from the surface. In addition, it will have to demonstrate that the resource responsible for the backfill work has expertise in this area. The Minister draws the attention of interested contractors to section 3 of the call for tenders document, which indicates the criteria to be met in order to be able to participate in the 2nd stage, which consists of a request for quotations.
