Allow Electronic Quote: Yes Informal Bid Flag: No Blanket/Contract Begin Date: 06/22/2023 Blanket/Contract End Date: 08/10/2023 The estimated construction cost for this project is $1,270,642. The Work involves furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary to construct 8- inch diameter ductile iron water main to replace existing 6-inch diameter asbestos cement water main, including: installation of ductile iron pipeline; ductile iron water main interconnections; valves; fittings; connections to existing water mains and laterals; installation of water service connections; reconnection of existing water services and meters; installation of fire hydrants; abandonment or removal of existing water main; surface restoration; traffic control, and all other work necessary to complete this project complete under the direction of the Long Beach Utilities Department. LBUD plans to commence construction in January 2024. The specifications provide for one hundred eighty (180) calendar days of construction time from the issuance of the notice-to-proceed.
