Construction of an animal shelter of approximately 3,300sqft, with a parking lot. Notice is hereby given that Fayette County, TN Government is requesting bids for work scheduled for fifteen (15) packages. All bids must meet or exceed the requirements of the bid documents and must be submitted on the proper bid form as prepared by the Construction Manager. All bidding contractors must be licensed and bonded. Construction is expected to start August 2023. Completion is expected May 2024. The requirements of the contract include but are not limited to the following: a. The facility will be an approximately 3,300sf new building located on Justice Drive, next to the existing Justice Center. The building will be wood framed walls with wood trusses. Veneer will be a combination of synthetic siding and brick. Roof will be standing seam metal over plywood decking. Floor will be hardened concrete throughout. b. There will be a central kennel area in the center portion of the building that will have cmu exterior walls to a level of 4'-0" AFF. This area will have a gyp ceiling and epoxy wall paint. c. Areas on either side of the central kennel will have acoustical ceilings and painted gyp walls. d. There will be a small parking area to the north of the building, a fenced area to the south, and a fenced vehicle sallyport to the east.
