The City of Burlington requires the design, supply, and installation of new playground equipment for Queensway Park. The exact placement of the playground equipment within Queensway Park has not yet been determined. The placement is part of the Design Consulting for Queensway Park Renewal Project, currently taking place under a separate contract. It is intended that the actual playground equipment installation will take place as part of the Queensway Park Renewal Construction contract in 2023/2024. The City of Burlington will be issuing a separate construction tender to select a General Contractor to construct the site works. The Playground Equipment will be awarded to the successful Bidder (Contractor) as stated herein, and a Purchase Order will be issued once the General Contractor has been awarded the site works tender. Installation of the equipment will take place in summer 2024. The Contractor must commit to work as a subcontractor with the General Contractor that will be awarded the site works at Queensway Park. This RFP includes the design, supply and installation of senior climbing apparatus for ages 5-12 years, junior climbing apparatus for ages 2-5 years, ground components and swing equipment. The budget for this Work is $90,000 (before tax). Bids must not exceed this budget figure. The expectation is that Bidders will provide as much equipment as possible without going over this amount.
