A cashier s check or bid bond payable to Mobile Bay National Estuary Program in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder s proposal The work includes two primary phases 1) creating the footprint for 19-acres of tidal marsh and 2) dredging within the Middle and South Fork of Deer River to restore historic depth and flow, and thin-layer placement of dredged material onto existing tidal marsh. Major items of work include construction of a temporary sand berm containment dike, installation of 3,100 linear feet of segmented breakwaters, and thin-layer placement of 50,000 cubic yards of dredged material onto 51-acres of adjacent tidal marsh. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owners judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
