PRE-QUALIFICATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 @ 2:00 p.m. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE: Friday, July 14th, 2023 MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 @ 10:00 a.m. TENTATIVE BID OPENING: Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 @ 2:00 p.m. The Commissioner of Public Works of the City of Charleston, South Carolina is requesting interested contractors to complete an application for pre-qualification of bidders for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the construction of the Roper Hospital 10" Water Meter Replacement Project. The project consists of replacing the existing 10" water meter with a new meter vault and meter without interrupting water service. This also involves 3 new hot taps and new bypass construction. This project also requires pavement & concrete restoration along with a traffic control component for emergency access to hospital. Contractors and their superintendents must have experience with a phased large meter installation and hot tap capabilities, along with working in an area with critical access requirements. This water supply is supplying a critical customer providing emergency services for the greater Charleston community. It's imperative that this work is done in a short time period with no disruption of water service and access to the Roper Emergency room is to remain unimpeded.
