**As of September 6, 2023, project was awarded to Kleeman Fence and Welding, awarded amount is $26,586.41** The City of Lamar is currently seeking bids to build fencing around the City's Wastewater Treatment Facility. The facility is located at the West Terminus of 19th Street, Lamar Missouri. The contractor will be required to provide their own equipment needed to complete the job and be responsible for the purchasing of all supplies. The fence is to be constructed of four-strand barbed wire on the North, South, and West sides. The East side which borders the baseball fields will consist of a 39" woven wire and two strands of barbed wire above it, if applicable. All bids will contain three options. The city will ensure the area is cleared of brush and prepared for construction. 1. Building of the North, South, and West sides, connecting to the current east fence. 2. Building of the North, South, and West side, restretching the east side connecting to the current fencing. 3. Building of the North, South, West, and East sides. All proposals will include the installation of two gates. Gates are to be 16-foot metal economy tube gates, properly attached to metal poles in a manner to provide stability, adjustability, and physical security. The selected contractor will be responsible for the purchasing of all supplies. The City will provide a letter of tax exemption for the purchase of materials related to this project. Contractors will also be required to produce a certificate of insurance naming the City of Lamar as an additional insured. The project is to be completed within Ninety (90) days of acknowledgment of the Notice of Award. A materials list will be included outlining material brands and specifications. Fencing is expected to consist of: Four-strands of, 12.5-gauge, 2-point, barbed wire Orange 6' metal T-post set at a maximum of 10-foot intervals. Wire attachments Metal posts and fencing supports shall include caps. Painting is not required.
