Deck replacement. Demolition of existing deck, including footings, and properly dispose of materials. Deck replacement. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid and Certified Payrolls must be submitted at time of completion. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned, and all materials secured at the end of each workday. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of the deck replacement, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent or his/her representative. Demolition of existing deck, including footings, and properly dispose of materials. 2. Excavation and installation of new deck footings meeting the requirements of the Building Code of NYS. Vendor shall be responsible for contacting local utilities (Digsafe) prior to excavation to ensure any underground utilities are clearly marked and protected from damage. 3. Framing of deck structure (including stairs). All framing shall comply with the Building Code of NYS. 4. Installation of decking material. Decking material is to be Trex (or equivalent) 1"x6" composite deck board installed per manufacturer's instructions. Colors to be chosen by OPWDD staff. 5. Installation of Trex (or equivalent) composite deck rails. Colors to be chosen by OPWDD staff. Railing installation shall comply with the Building Code of NYS.
