Reference Number 0000323986 The City shall perform all demolition work and inspections. The Contractor shall construct the requested concrete work including compaction, forming, pouring, finishing, and providing all materials, labor and incidentals necessary to repair curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway approaches and ADA ramps. All ADA repairs shall include detectable warning surfaces meeting ADA compliance. All work performed shall meet City Standards and Specifications. Concrete shall conform to Section VI, Subsection 1 Portland Cement Concrete of City of Hanford Standard Specifications. Concrete for curbs, gutters, sidewalks and curb ramps shall be a minimum five sack mix with 28-day compression strength of 2,500 psi minimum. All questions regarding this project shall be in writing and shall be submitted through electronically, no later than 2:00 P.M. on the seventh (7th) calendar day before bid opening. All bids are to be compared on the basis of the City Engineer's estimate of the quantities of work to be done. No bids will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of Business and Professions Code. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 (with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)). No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. General Requirements - Contractors License Required - Installation Required - Insurance Required - License Required - Prevailing Wage Required The total amount of work anticipated to be completed for the fiscal year is approximately $90,000. The undersigned hereby agrees to the terms of the contract, which shall run from the date signed by City Official through June 30, 2024 The Contractor hereby agrees to perform curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway and ADA ramp repair services at various locations in the City of Hanford, in accordance with all provisions of this Agreement. The total amount of work anticipated to be completed for the fiscal year is approximately $90,000. The City shall perform all demolition work and inspections. Demolition shall be performed by the City and shall include saw cutting, removing, clearing, grubbing and hauling of materials at a specific work area. Sprinklers or other appurtenances damaged during demolition shall be repaired by the City. Damages occurring after the demolition work is completed shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor shall grade and compact the work area to the required compaction, per City Standards, prior to any concrete replacement, including importing of material if needed. The City shall provide compaction testing and shall report any deficiencies to the Contractor for corrections. The Contractor shall work with the City on scheduling of jobs based on the City workload. The amount of $90,000 is a budget for repairs; no guarantee of the entire budget is implied. City staff will identify locations, meet with contractor and guarantee a minimum value of work to be set at $3,000 based off of final unit cost of winning bid, per job. The Contractor shall have 10 working days to complete all work as agreed upon by the City and Contractor. All scheduling and agreed upon start dates will be communicated via email between the City and the contractor, thus beginning the 10-day completion period. Contractor shall remove all debris, including spoils and excess materials after the completion of work. If the Contractor fails to be available for work in a timely manner, or leaves jobs incomplete for more than 10 working days, the City reserves to right to void the contract and use an outside vendor for needed repairs.
