Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Haines, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The WORK consists of removing and disposing of approximately 300 lineal feet of 6' wide sidewalk and replacing it with a new 6" thick 6' wide concrete sidewalk with rolled curb and gutter and patch paving along Front Street near the Small Boat Harbor. A small strip of repaving is required to replace enough paving along the gutter to allow for concrete forms. The work includes: Removing and disposing of the existing sidewalk and a strip of asphalt paving along the sidewalk wide enough to allow for concrete forms. Furnishing, placing, grading, and compacting bed coarse aggregate. Forming sidewalk, including joints every six feet, and one ADA wheelchair cut. Placing and finishing six-sack fiber-mesh concrete. Provide a stiff broom finish. Repaving 2-inch thick asphalt or 6" thick fiber mesh concrete to match the existing asphalt and the new gutter. Removing and disposing of the existing railing. Furnishing and installing the new railing, including all hardware. The Work will be completed no later than December 31, 2023. The Engineer's Estimate for all the WORK detailed herein is $250,000 - $300,000.
