Site work for a mixed-use development in Texas City, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Texas City is requesting bids for the Amburn Park & Freeway Park Drainage Improvements Project. This project involves the removal and replacement of approximately 9,200 SY of reinforced concrete pavement, removal and replacement of approximately 2,000 LF of 24" thru 48" storm sewer pipe, and installation of approximately 3,000 LF of 8"water line located in the Amburn Park Subdivision. This project also includes the removal and replacement of approximately 3,700 SY of reinforced concrete pavement, removal and replacement of approximately 1,400 LF of 24"thru 48" storm sewer pipe along with installation of 1,100 LF of 6'x4' reinforced concrete boxes, and installation of approximately 3,250 LF of 8" water line and 400 LF of 8" sanitary sewer located in the Freeway Park Subdivision. Question Deadline 07/14/2023 at 5:00 PM CT Questions must be submitted through the CivCast Website Bidder hereby agrees to commence the work on the above project on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to fully complete the project within 365 consecutive calendar days Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond in an amount of 100% of the total contract price. The Contractor and all Subcontractors for this project will be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates for the area of the project as required in the contract documents. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Upon consideration of the proposals the City Commission plans to award a Contract; however the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all formalities and technicalities, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous to the owner. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Engineer, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation or recommendation of any bid.
