General: The description herein for each Alternate is recognized to be incomplete and abbreviated, but implies that each change must be complete for the scope of work affected. Coordinate related work and modify surrounding work as required to properly integrate with the work of each Alternate. It is recognized that the descriptions of Alternates are primarily scope definitions, and do not necessarily detail the full range of materials and processes needed to complete the work as required. The following Alternates are requested. They must be listed on the bidder's proposal sheet as separate items apart from the base bids. ALTERNATE #1: (DEDUCT) Provide new fully adhered EPDM single ply roof in lieu of flat seam copper roof on minimal slope areas of the existing roof. ALTERNATE #2: (DEDUCT) Provide new synthetic slate shingle system and details in lieu of standing seam copper roof on the gable roof sections of the existing roof.
