Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Permanent repair of pavement distresses and failures such as rutting, cracking and potholes. Areas to be repaired are located in various roadways throughout the Town of Wakefield. Areas typically over 5 SY in area and require removal by milling of the existing top course asphalt and the replacement of the top course by the use of a self-propelled paver. MassDOT PreQual for Pavement Surfacing required. The work under this contract shall consist of the permanent repair of pavement distresses and failures such as rutting, cracking and potholes. Areas to be repaired are located in various roadways throughout the Town of Wakefield. These distresses and failures are typically over five (5) square yards in area and require removal by milling of the existing top course asphalt, and the replacement of the top course by the use of a self-propelled paver. All work shall be performed as directed by the Engineer. No oral interpretation will be made to any bidder as to the meaning of any of the Contract Documents or be effective to modify any of the provisions of the Contract Documents. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer at least seven (7) days before the established date for bid opening.
