Site work for a mixed-use development in Millersville, Maryland. Working plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

No bids received. Re-bid details to follow. This Contract is for repairs to Freight Rail Line Structures on the Eastern Shore. Structure No. 21.14 on Line 148 is a triple barrel CIP in Barclay, MD. Structure No. 3.20 is a CIP/CMP in Galena MD. Structure No. 7.73 is a triple barrel RCP in Kennedyville, MD. Structure No. 0.05 on Line 149 is a concrete scale structure on Line 149 in Massey, MD. The work for Structure No. 21.14 on Line 148 involves constructing concrete headwalls, installing gabion baskets, installing ballast and grading. Hi-Rail equipment must be used for construction activities for Structure No. 21.14 on Line 148. Staging or stockpiling outside MTA right-of-way is prohibited. Staging and stockpiling within MTA right-of-way will be allowed on areas that are considered stable and does not inhibit train traffic. No stone, matting or other forms of stabilization will be allowed at the site. The work for Structure No. 3.20 on Line 149 includes removing a CMP, installing a new RCP with a flared end section, precast concrete manhole and backfilling, grading. The work for Structure No. 7.73 on Line 149 includes repairing open and misaligned joints between pipe sections with a system comprised of chemical grout and joint sealant. The work for Structure No. 0.05 on Line 149 includes the removal of a scale structure, including removing steel beams, concrete walls, backfilling and replacing rail, ties and placing ballast. See Special Provisions for details A performance and payment bond is required for all construction contracts in excess of $100,000. The performance bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The payment bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Bond shall be on a form furnished by the MTA, underwritten by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Maryland, and in the amount specified by this solicitation. Upon receiving notification of contract award, the Contractor shall deliver the bond to the MTA no later than the time the Contractor executes the contract. Bid, payment, and performance security may be in the form of: (1) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State; (2) a bond executed by an individual surety that meets certain criteria; (3) another form of security required by State or federal law; or (4) another form of security satisfactory to the unit awarding the contract. Sections 13- 207, 13-216, 17-104 of the State Finance and Procurement Article, Annotated Code of Maryland. Repairs to freight rail line culverts on the Eastern Shore that have misaligned joints. Structure No. 21.24 on Line 148, Structure No. 3.20 and No. 7.73 on Line 149 and Massey scale pit removal. Each bid exceeding $100,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond on a form furnished by the Administration in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid Price. Questions concerning this solicitation must be received no later than 07/25/2023 at the close of the business day. No interpretations other than written shall be binding on the Administration.
