JEFFERSON AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS AND 2023 ROAD RESURFACING PROGRAM BOROUGH OF WESTWOOD BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid 1 2023 Local Aid Milling and resurfacing of Jefferson Avenue from Broadway to Kinderkamack Road. Contract work also includes the reconstruction of sidewalk, driveways, curb, upgrading noncompliant ADA handicap ramps, and installation of regulatory and warning signs. Base Bid 2 2023 Road Resurfacing Program (Borough Funded) Milling and resurfacing of the entire lengths of Woodcliff Avenue, Ruckner Road, Best Street, Meyer Place, and Harding Avenue, as well as Bergen Street from Kinderkamack Road to Lexington Avenue, Pascack Road from Lewis Place to Sand Road, Westwood Boulevard from Hooper Street to Pascack Road, Scott Place from Ruckner Road to dead end and Hegeman Avenue from Westwood Boulevard to hospital entrance. Contract work also includes the reconstruction of sidewalk, driveways, curb, upgrading noncompliant ADA handicap ramps, and installation of regulatory and warning signs Alternate Bid A Milling and resurfacing of Sealy Street from Repetti Street to Addicks Road. Contract work also includes the reconstruction of sidewalk, driveways, and curb. Alternate Bid B Milling and resurfacing of Jones Street from Westwood Boulevard to Palisade Avenue. Contract work also includes the reconstruction of sidewalk, driveways, and curb. Alternate Bid C Milling and resurfacing of High Street entire length. HMA Milling, 3" or Less . 605 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 12.5M64 Surface Course . 260 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick . 686 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb. Base Bid 2 . 25,460 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less . 3,730 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course Alternate Bid A . 3,205 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less . 470 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course Alternate Bid B . 820 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less . 120 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course Alternate Bid C . 1,185 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less . 175 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 90 calendar days of notice to proceed Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder
