Site work and new construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,000-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.

Franklin County is soliciting bids to design and construct a 50’ x 80’ garage building. The construction should include insulation and two overhead commercial light fixtures. Please include the cost for the fixtures; however, the County reserves the right to purchase the fixtures separately if this proves more cost-effective. Electrical will be installed by the County after construction is complete. The building should have three 16 feet tall x 14 feet wide roll-up doors, two on the front elevation and one on the rear elevation; the door should be high lift doors and be insulated. These doors should have a chain hoist. Please refer to the hand drawing in Addendum 1 of the document for the orientation of the rollup doors. Contractors bidding on this work must have a Certificate of Insurance for liability to cover work, workers, and sub-contractors as needed. The contractor must purchase appropriate builder’s risk insurance for the project. The bidder should have a Class A contractor’s license. Bids must be eligible for 60 days.
