Renovation of a medical facility in Columbia, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Scope of Work: a. The contractor will be responsible for the completing construction of five offices and one storage room as indicated on plans (Office dimensions: 01= 10'11"x9'7", 02= 10'11"x9'7", 04= 9'5-1/2"x8'11-1/2", 05= 14'5"x10'9-1/2", 06= 10'x11", 07= 10'x11", Storage=10'9"x5'0"). b. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing one (1) door/frame (storage room) and sheet rock opening as illustrated on plans. Contractor is responsible for disposing of old door and frame. c. The Contractor shall widen the doorway leading to the last two (2) offices as illustrated. d. The Contractor shall add a doorway and door/door frame from storage room to hall as illustrated on plans. e. The Contractor shall remove the cabinet adhered to the wall in the office with a window. f. The Contractor shall removing one ceiling fan. g. The Contractor shall be responsible for light placement throughout the area to ensure proper light distribution. h. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing/installing seven (7) new metal frames and seven (7) new wooden fire rated doors. Walls will have door stops installed to prevent damage to walls from new doors. i. The Contractor shall be responsible for installing new commercial door hardware with keys on new doors with Dexter C2000 Cylindrical, Entry/Office or equal. j. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing electrical outlets (duplex/120 volt) and power to cubes/office as illustrated in the Electrical and Data Plan. k. The Contractor shall be responsible for adding wood bracing in walls to support seventy inch (70") monitors. l. The Contractor shall be responsible for repair/patching carpet using Shaw, Oodles 00700 Carpet Tile, as needed. m. The Contractor shall be responsible for adding Cove Base Roppe: 198 Ivory. n. The Contractor shall be responsible for repair/prep/paint all walls, doors, columns, windowsills, and window trim using SW 699 Sand dollar. o. The Contractor shall be responsible for repair/prep/paint all door trim using SW 6100 Practical Beige. p. The Contractor shall be responsible for repair/prep/paint the elevator lobby and doors/hallway walls and doors using SW 699 Sand dollar. q. The Contractor shall be responsible for repair/prep/paint the elevator lobby, and hallway trim using SW 6100 Practical Beige. r. The Contractor shall be responsible for replacing all the ceiling tiles within the workspace, the elevator area, and the hallway with tile Armstrong Ceiling Solutions Cortega BP772A, or equal, as illustrated in the Ceiling Tile Replacement Plan. The contractor shall be responsible for confirming the number of tiles needed for purchase and install. s. The Contractor shall be responsible for replacing the ceiling grid and tile in the hallway as indicated on the Hallway Ceiling Grid and Tile Plan drawing. t. The Contractor shall provide ALL labor, ALL materials and ALL equipment required to complete this project. u. Work shall be performed in the designated area of the 2d floor during normal work hours - (normal work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, excluding any State holidays). v. Work may be performed after normal work hours and weekends if necessary. Any work to be performed after normal work hours or weekends must be approved in advance by the SCDHHS Facilities Management Director/Project Manager. w. The Contractor shall provide (1) one additional box of ceiling tiles (1 box 2x2 and 1 box 2x4) to SCDHHS; the cost shall be included the Bidding Schedule. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
