Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Columbia, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
SCDOT requests Statement of Qualifications from those interested to serve as the Design-Build Team for the design and construction services for Bridge Package 20 in Chesterfield, Fairfield, Lancaster, and York Counties. Deadline for Submittal of Non-Confidential Questions Thursday, July 13, 2023 A single 100% performance bond and single 100% payment bond shall be provided at the time specified in the RFP, regardless of any co-surety relationship. DBE goal for this project will be 13.2 percent. Scope of Work The scope of work to be undertaken by the Proposer under the design-build contract for this Project will be further defined in the Request for Proposals (RFP). The successful Proposer will be responsible for all engineering, design, and construction services. The Project will be designed in accordance with AASHTO and SCDOT design specification sand criteria, and constructed in accordance with SCDOT standards and specifications. Project Overview The Project consists of the replacement of seven bridges in Chesterfield, Fairfield, Lancaster, and York Counties in South Carolina. The Project also includes all approach roadway work necessary to tie the new roadway alignments to the existing roadway alignments.
