The Consultant shall perform consultation, research, professional and technical services required for building maintenance project consultation services, including, but not limited to, field sampling, construction materials testing, evaluating, analysis, reports, plant inspection and work related to testing equipment calibration, on an "as-needed" basis to support the Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Division of Business Operations (DBO), Building Maintenance Program at District 1-Eureka,2-Redding,4-Oakland,5- San Luis Obispo,6-Fresno,7-Los Angelas,8- San Bernadino,9-Bishop,10- Stockton and HQ , to support state wide owned office building investigations and studies, construction inspections, office facility architecture , structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection design, construction engineering, inspection and management. Perform preliminary engineering studies and prepare related draft and final reports and perform general construction engineering and general contract administration. Scope of work may range from simple office facility equipment upgrades consultation at state wide owned office facilities, to more complexed life and safety associated office upgrade or construction projects including emergency A&E projects as they arise. Projects shall comply with California Code of Regulations (CCRs) as well as other applicable State and Federal codes and regulations. Services include Construction Document (CD) development phase to Construction Administration (CA) phase for office facility equipment upgrades, office facility condition assessments, and other A&E tasks for various Projects. All tasks are in the maintenance, equipment repair or upgrade and construction of Caltrans state wide owned office facilities. The Caltrans Contract Manager shall assign specific work to the Consultant to assist the Caltrans work force through the issuance of Task Orders describing in detail the services to be performed. The Consultant shall only perform work that is assigned in an authorized Task Order. The Contract does not guarantee that a Task Order shall be issued. The Consultant may provide services to Caltrans including, but not limited to, and work identified above as well as general construction engineering and contract administration. Questions concerning this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) must be submitted in writing to the attention of Alma Cortez at alma.cortez@dot.ca.gov. Questions must be received no later than seven (7) business days after the RFQ advertisement. Consultants contacting the District or Division directly seeking information about this RFQ will be disqualified from consideration in the selection process. 5% DVBE Participation Goal Required. Interviews will be held via WebEx on 7/20/2023. Confirmation letters will be sent to those firms short-listed. The estimated contract term is three years. The estimated contract is $1,840,000.00 - $3,499,999.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
