City of Bismarck is seeking cost proposals from qualified manufacturers or their representatives to provide Street Maintenance Materials - Salt and Sand for 2023. The City of Bismarck has estimated the need for a supply of materials required from August 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024, for street maintenance and construction. The probable quantities will be listed on the proposal form. The contract shall be divided into two parts, with a separate contract awarded for each part. Part 1 includes deicing sand and Part 2 includes brine salt. A Contractor is not required to bid on both parts to have a valid bid but may do so at its discretion. Bid bonds are not required to be submitted with the bid. A fax or scanned and emailed bid is acceptable if sent to a third party and not directly to the City of Bismarck. The third party is then responsible for the delivery of the bid to the City of Bismarck prior to the date and time listed for the receipt of bids. Delivery of deicing sand and brine salt shall take place within fifteen (15) days of receipt of written notice to deliver. Notice to deliver may include the call for various types and quantities of materials to be received at the Department of Public Works storage yard located at 601 South 26th Street, as directed by the City of Bismarck .
