CENTRAL PLANT 1ST FLR PO&M EMISSIONS UREA PROJECT Description of Work: The project will be located at the UC Davis Health Central Plant in Sacramento. The Central Plant is to install a new ULTRA thermal decomposition urea conversion system (by FuelTech) to provide ammonia for the reduction of NOx from the gas turbine prior to the exhausting out of the HRSG stack. This project scope is for the replacement of the ammonia injection system, including the ammonia distribution balancing manifold, header, and ammonia injection grid (AIG) to ensure the following design criteria are met: 1. The AIG will achieve 5 PPM NOX (corrected to 15% O2) or less continuously whole the gas turbine is operating at part load and full load. Inlet conditions for the AIG will be up to 562,000 LB/HR exhaust flow (flue gas) with 42 PPM NOX (corrected to 15% O2). 2. The ammonia/NOx molar ratio at the face of the SCR catalyst is less than 15% RMS across the entire cross section of the catalyst. 3. The velocity distribution at the face of the SCR catalyst is less than 15% RMS. Maximum Acceptance Cost (MAC): $550,000 Proposal Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Proposal, excluding alternates, shall accompany each bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the bid deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120) All insurance policies required to be obtained by Design-Builder shall be subject to approval by University for form and substance. All such policies shall be issued by a company rated by Best as A or better with a financial classification of VIII or better or have equivalent rating by Standard and Poor's or Moodys.
