Reference Number 0000251360 Questions are submitted online No The Town of Minnedosa is seeking the consulting services of a qualified and professional Proponent to undertake a full rate study and application for the Town of Minnedosa Utility Water and Wastewater System to the Public Utilities Board. This study will include the phasing in of utility rate increases over the next 3 -4 years. If the work is not completed by the completion date, liquidated damages may be charged (at the discretion of Council) at a rate of $500 FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS per calendar day until work is completed. Lost time due to inclement weather is anticipated and shall be accounted for in the completion date. The Town reserves the right to halt operations within reason if site conditions are deemed to be undesirable or unsafe. The Town of Minnedosa is a rural residential community with a population of 2741 and is situated at the junction of Provincial Highway #10 and Yellowhead Highway #16, in the province of Manitoba. It is approximately a 30-minute drive north of the City of Brandon and a 30-minute drive south of Riding Mountain National Park. Minnedosa's utility systems consists of two Water Treatment facilities servicing the Town of Minnedosa, RM of Minto-Odanah, Rapid City and CENOVUS Ethanol Plant. The wastewater treatment facility is a two-cell aerated lagoon system which is continuously discharged into the Little Saskatchewan River. The last rate study was conducted in 2021 with rate increases approved in October 2022 under Public Utilities Board order 112/22 and included increases for 2022 and 2023.
