Site work and renovation of a golf course in Great River, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a golf course; and for site work for a golf course.

The Parks Department operates and maintains three golf courses: West Sayville (Islip), Timber Point(Islip), and Indian Island (Riverhead). Bergen Point in Babylon is operated and maintained by a licensed concessionaire. This project provides for major improvements that cannot be accomplished through normal maintenance. Improvements may include bunker replacement and repair, safety netting, cart path extensions, and landscaping. Currently, the Indian Island Golf Course needs a new irrigation system. The capital program also includes funding to replace the irrigation system at Timber Point. The project is included in the Suffolk County's 2024-2026 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of January 2, 2024, Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
