Bids are invited for several items of work, including replacing approximately 6,171 LF of 6" SDR 26 CL 160 PVC Sewer Line, 16 Replacement Manholes, 11 New Manholes, 3,583 LF of pavement repair, and 39 service transfers. Each BIDDER must deposit with his bid, security in the form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Bowie, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the BIDDER of an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect, whether by ENGINEER, or by any officer, agent, or employee of OWNER or ENGINEER, or any other person. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
