Preparation (with as needed incidental repairs), Renewal, Painting of Facility Exteriors and associated elements (fence walls, block walls, trellises, railings, ramps, etc.), Installation of new exterior signage (bid as a deductive alternate) throughout the school and others per Contract Documents. Contractor shall include in his base bid furnish and install 640 sq. ft. (20 4x8 sheets) of new T111 siding to replace most damaged siding in lieu of repair / patch. All exterior siding (new and repaired) to be finished / painted to a professional standard. All non-public access exteriors (i.e. playground areas accessible to school children) shall be prioritized as Phase 1. Limited school student attendance will be in place during the Summer School Session (from July 3 - July 28), and contractor shall take all legal and conventional precautions to insure NO direct worker / student interactions are allowed. Increased supervision and management of all materials (chemicals and or waste) shall be provided during these periods while children are present. Contractor will be allowed upon request to work double or 2 nd shifts entirely to speed up the safe progress of the work. The Phase 2 prep and painting of the public accessible perimeters of the school shall be allowed to occur past the 30 day calendar duration without risk of liquidated damages, but not beyond 60 calendar days past the Notice to Proceed date.
