Said work shall commence upon notice to proceed and will be completed by March 31, 2025. Contract time will be calculated starting the date the successful bidder is notified to proceed. Work is to start immediately and to progress without interruption until the job is complete. Bidder shall understand that if circumstances so arise that a contract extension is needed, one shall be granted due to inclement weather, acts of God and acts beyond the control of the Contractor, such as strikes, fire, lockouts, unusual delays in shipment. The Project Representative and the Contractor shall mutually agree on a reasonable extension of time In the event that all work is not completed by March 31, 2025, the Wyoming Department of Transportation will assess $500.00 per calendar day, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages to the State The liquidated damages assessment for non-completion by the time specified will be computed beginning April 1, 2025 and continue until the work has been completed and accepted. If necessary to apply this assessment, the total amount of such damages will be deducted from the purchase order amount.
