Renovation of a municipal facility in Stony Plain, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

1. MECHANICAL SCOPE of work for the Provincial building is as follows: -Replace the existing chiller and rooftop condenser with units of similar capacity. -Refurbish the air handling units (AHU) by replacing supply fans, return fans, dampers, cooling coils, heating coils, humidification grid, and insulation. -Heating piping is to be replaced from the AHU heating coil to the boiler plant. Replace piping, valves, and heating coil pump. -Cooling piping is to be replaced from the AHU cooling coil to the chiller. Piping, valves, and cooling coil pump is to be installed. -Humidification lines are to be replaced from the steam unit to the new humidification grid. -Provide a new hot water to glycol heat exchanger for the heating coil of the AHU, included is to be a circulation pump on the glycol side of the heat exchanger. -Replace all 16 heaters located throughout the Provincial building. -Replace all exhaust fans in the building with like for like units. The scope of work for the Courthouse building is as follows: -Replace the existing chiller and rooftop condenser with units of similar capacity. -Refurbish the air handling units by replacing supply fans, return fans, dampers, cooling coils, heating coils, humidification grid, and insulation. -Heating piping is to be replaced from the AHU heating coil to the boiler plant. Replace piping, valves, and heating coil pump. -Cooling piping is to be replaced from the AHU cooling coil to the chiller. Piping, valves, and cooling coil pump is to be installed. -Humidification lines are to be replaced from the steam unit to the new humidification grid. -Provide a new hot water to glycol heat exchanger for the heating coil of the AHU, included is to be a circulation pump on the glycol side of the heat exchanger. -Replace all 14 heaters located throughout the Courthouse building. -Replace all exhaust fans in the building with consolidated fans. -Replace all Victaulic fittings in the Courthouse building. ELECTRICAL SCOPE of work for both buildings is as follows: -Mechanical equipment feeders to be disconnected and reconnected or demolished. -Replacement and/or installation of breakers, feeders, and conduits to meet code as required. -Installation of new starters as applicable. -Installation of variable frequency drives (VFD) for motors as required. TIMELINE: Stage II ITB to the prequalified firms closed August 13, 2024. Submissions are under review. Construction is expected to begin September 2024. Completion is scheduled for December 31, 2025.
